Final Fantasy XIII to look better then FF: Spirits Within
When Final Fantasy: Spirits Within came out, it was without a doubt at the time the probably the greatest CG movie at the time from a visual standpoint. The movie wasn’t quite as good but I may be some of few people who actually liked the movie. In the latest issue of PSM magazine, the unofficial PlayStation Magazine, they said some things that if true, we are going to be blown away.
Kaiser Hwang, editor for PSM had this to say:
“The graphical quality is simply stunning. In fact, we’d say it’s, at worst, on par with The Spirits WIthin. Think about that for a second. Sometime in the next year or two, you’ll be playing a game on a home console that’s, so far, visually superior to a Hollywood movie that required hundreds of computers to make.”
I’m going to remain on the fence because this is statement that you have to see in order to believe it. I’m not going to call him a liar because deep down inside I hope this is true. We haven’t really seen what the PS3 can do and Sqaure-Enix has a history of making the most at of a console. Final Fantasy VI for the SNES was the best at its time, Final Fantasy VII, and Final Fantasy X were both great looking titles when they debuted.
But just the imagination of playing a game with that high quality of graphics, and if the gameplay is good to go with that, we may finally catch a glimpse of truth surrounding the PS3’s power. If anybody can prove this to us Square-Enix can. Click the two links below for a scan of the article.
