There are a lot of people out there that prefer the keyboard and mouse combo to any controller ever created. There are also a lot of those people who end up buying consoles due to the mass of games on home consoles. Knowing this, Epic has decided to implement keyboard and mouse support into the PS3 version of Unreal Tournament 3.
For those of you hardcore PC purists, mouse and keyboard controls will be available in the PS3 version through the USB ports on the front of the machine. In addition, the Sixaxis controller will get its usual nod and the motion sensor can be used to control where you look. The Sony rep apologized for it not being accessible on the demo I was playing, and he suggested that it was actually very accurate once you got the hang of it.
You can never go wrong by supporting a keyboard/mouse, but isn’t one of the most appealing aspects of consoles the fact that that you don’t have to worry about all the buttons?
Oh, well. You still can’t go wrong by supporting the keyboard and mouse! Think of the RTS possibilities…
