Xbox 360 cutting back on backwards compatibility after '07
At the end of the GDC blogger’s breakfast, Chris Satchell revealed that there will be less focus on backwards compatibility at the end of the year.
“At some point we’re going to focus less on it. When you get to the end of this year there will be a reduced focus on backwards compatibility. There are so many 360 games out there. I don’t know if it’s important anymore.”
I don’t know how many games are compatibility now but depending on how many games they fix to become backwards compatible this year this may not be a bad move. But then again somebody’s favorite game may not make the cut and their are some good Xbox games still worth playing.
