Crackdown sold early – Clerk to be fired soon

There has been a large disturbance in the force…

At least the force required by one clerk to keep their job. The Xbox 360’s latest must-have title, Crackdown, had it’s street date broken early.

Very lucky Kotaku reader Brian explains:

Rang up for $220 dollars but the cashier just overrode it for me. Seems funny as there is a bright orange sticker that says DO NOT SELL BEFORE 2/20/07 on it.

Okay, so we know at least one clerk that will soon be fired, and that at least one Circuit City will probably pay quite a bit of money for this early sale.

Since we’re on the subject, why aren’t there any clueless clerks anywhere near me?! I’d like Crackdown a week early too!

I’m in the UK and I got a copy from Amazon on the 20th – the US launch date. Did Amazon find some sort of loophole to get sales?
