FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage coming to the Xbox 360
Empire Interactive today announced the next-gen debut of the FlatOut franchise. FlatOut: Ulitmate Carnage will be released on the Xbox 360 in June 2007.
FlatOut 2 sold more then 1 million worldwide so its no surprise that a next-gen version is on the way. FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage has been rebuilt and developed by Bugbear Entertainment to make the most of the additional feature sets and improved processing ability of the Xbox 360.
There will be some changes to Ultimate Carnage. 12 cars can race on-screen at one time, no less than five new single player and two new multiplayer modes making use of the Xbox Live online game service, instead of the 5,000 dynamic objects per track in FlatOut 2, there will be 8,000 and the gaming experience will further be enhanced with widescreen HD resolution (720p), dynamic lighting and shadowing featuring real time environment mapping on all vehicles, and as well as 20,000 polygons per car up from 7,500 in FlatOut 2. Players will also be able to download content via Xbox Live.
FlatOut is a good game I can’t wait to see the crashes that FlatOut is good for on the Xbox 360.
