Unreal Tournament 2007 Renamed – Coming in 2007

2007 has been renamed – and it’s launching sooner than you might think…
Midway announced yesterday that Unreal Tournament 2007 has been renamed to Unreal Tournament 3. Even though it’s technically the fourth game in the UT series, this naming could be due to the Unreal 3 engine powering the next-gen shooter.
Midway also announced that UT3 will be launched on the PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 in the second half of 2007. Hopefully they launch it before the holiday season. Late summer sounds nice, and as Dead RisingDead Rising reviews proved last fall, gamers still buy games during the summer.
