Sony Releasing Credit Card Reader for PS3

Just when gamers started thinking “Wow, I don’t think I spent enough on my expensive game console”, Sony has announced a credit card reader add-on for the PlayStation 3.

The new PS3 firmware that was released this morning, version 1.5, includes support for swiping your credit card right into your console.

Wow… Just Wow. I’m not sure I know many people that would pay for an attachment made for them to spend more money. Luckily, this attachment is only planned for Japan as of now.

You’d think that adding in your card info to your PSN account would save it to the hard drive, but every add-on has it’s purpose, I guess.
