C&C: Tiberium Wars to support Xbox Live Vision Camera
It’s nice to know that developers start using peripherals – especially first-party ones, but this may come as a shock to some. Command & Conquer: Tiberium Wars for the Xbox 360 will support the Xbox Live Vision Camera.
“You can now literally see the face of your opponent while you decimate him in Xbox Live battles. Plus, for the winner, the Spotlight cam gives you an unchallenged ten seconds of fame to let your enemy know exactly how you feel about your victory.”
This leaves me a bit intrigued. On one hand, I like the concept of a quick message to your downed opponent. On the other hand, I know first-hand that some Live gamers just don’t have the level of language or hygiene standards I expect from people…
Oh – and there’s more!
As well as camera support, EA is offering 360 gamers exclusive multiplayer Capture the Flag and Siege modes. The gameplay and user interface are going to be built from the ground up, which we expect will be very similar to the control system in The Battle for Middle-Earth II.
Since the Battle for Midddle Earth was a damn good implementation of an RTS on the Xbox 360, i’m sure the team can expand and elaborate on an already awesome engine.
I can’t wait to see what this one looks and plays like!
