SIXAXIS wins an Emmy

The folks at Sony Computer Entertainment America announced today that they have been given top honors by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences as the recipient of a Technology and Engineering Emmy Award for the PlayStation 3’s SIXAXIS controller.

Now, I know more then some are surprised by this, hell even I am. The Wii whos design is pretty much their motion controller they got, Im sure most of the people feel out their that it is better then Sony’s SIXAXIS controller.

But thats not all, Sony also picked up the “CES Best of Innovations Award” for 2007, a “Sound and Vision’s Editor’s Choice Award” and “Digital Innovation Award” from the Digital Entertainment Group and a “20 Most Innovative Products Award” from PC World.

The PS3 has alot of potential, if you read the specs then you know what Im talking about. Sony needs the good press since their launch really wasn’t that great. From here on out, if Sony can keep getting this kinda of praise 2007 will be a good year for them and hopefully us gamers too.
