Xbox 360 nabs top sales through holidays

While some see it as a surprise and others see it as expected, the Xbox 360 sold the most consoles during the holiday season.
Market analysts NPD have suggested that the Xbox 360 was the best-selling console in the US over Christmas - with the Nintendo Wii trailing by just 200,000 units.
Overall, the Xbox 360 sold 2 million consoles, the Wii came in with 1.8 million, and the PS3 sold 750,000. That’s a lot of sales.
That’s fairly expected, considering the 360 was available in large numbers this past holiday season. The Wii and PS3 were sold out everywhere, and just now are PS3s starting to be freely available.
