Virtua Fighter and Splinter Cell goes to the opposite
It seems it’s hard to keep exclusives anymore. Virtua Fighter 5 and Splinter Cell: Double Agent are both going cross console. Virtua Fighter 5 will grace the 360 and Splinter Cell: Double Agent will be a welcomed addition to the PS3.
We know that Microsoft has been trying to take many of Sony’s exclusive titles but Sony snag one under their feet or maybe publishers just want everyone to enjoy the games that are being made regardless of what system you own. I think the 360 getting Virtua Fighter is fine but Sony now has not just Metal Gear Solid 4 but its contender Splinter Cell. Even though what rumors might suggest that the 360 owners may be able to enjoy Metal Gear Solid 4 as well but right now one of their best games is going to be availiable for their rivals.
This console war is going to be tough, with what was supposed to be exclusive are not anymore. Nintendo seems to be the only people not plagued with that problem. It will be the day that Zelda or Mario game will debut for the PS3 or 360. Virtua Fighter 5 will be released summer 2007 while Splinter Cell: Double Agent should be released March 2007.
