Gears of War shipments to EB/GameStop in SouthEast US delayed!

Apparently, a FedEx shipment was lost in Memphis, Tennessee and Gears of War shipments to EB Games and GameSpot locations in the SouthEastern region have been delayed to either this evening or tomorrow. I caught a bit of pain from this error as well, as I waited outside EB Games for two hours before recieving notice.
This error should only be affecting EB Games and Gamestop locations. I personally suggest Wal-Mart and Best Buy. Here’s why.
I waited outside of EB Games starting at 9:30am, expecting to get my copy as soon as the shipment arrived. Someone was calling around different stores starting at about 10:30 because an hour is a long time to wait. Wal-Mart had 9 Collector’s Editions and Best Buy had a bunch of regulars, but I’d rather have the CE and I didn’t want to get there and find them sold out. On top of that, i’d already been waiting an hour, you know? So I waited a bit longer.
The EB guys told us close to 11:30am that there was an error in the shipment. In their defense, they seemed just as disappointed as we were, considering they’d decked out the store with Gears of War stuff, and even considering that this was something they had no control over (people like to bash EB employees for some reason - I don’t like the practice, personally). I respect that, and i’m sure at least one of them wanted a copy as well. They told us to call back in the evening, and hopefully they’d have it in.
A lot of us sped to Wal-Mart, but I got there first to find about 8-10 CE’s and close to the same amount of regular. Bought my Collector’s Edition, got to work, and i’ll be playing around 5pm.
See you on Live!
