If you’ve been keeping up with Microsoft accessories, you’ll be aware of the Xbox 360 Wireless Headset. Also, if you’ve been pondering whether it’s worth it, i’ve already got you covered.
The first question most people ask when it comes to things like this one is: Do I really need this? Well, we all know that the answer to that question - because you get a headset with your Xbox Live subscription initially. A better question to ask is whether you should spend $60 on it. My answer: That depends on the person.
Personally, It ROCKS. First off, it’s a bit lighter on the head than the Xbox Live headset for the 360. Mostly, that’s because it’s not wrapped over the top of your head, but over your ear.
Connection
Connecting the headset is as simple as connecting a wireless controller. Press the connect button on the controller, and it finds your 360. You might notice on the inner sides have four numbered lights next to the connect button, and they let you know which port your headset is connected to. You’ll also notice on the lit quarters of the Ring of Light on your 360. If it’s on a port you don’t want, tap the connect button and it switches ports.
Audio
You might notice a slight echo at first, but it shortly fades away. Other than that, it’s just as good as the corded headset - and that says a lot.
Overall
The Xbox 360 Wireless Headset is pretty nice. Whether or not you want to purchase it depends on your personal tastes, but i’m happy I did. I’d recommend it!
