Recently, GamingTruth was invited to EA Canada for the Fifa 07 Community Day. Not only was this a chance to meet a lot of fellow gaming site operators, there was a three hour hands-on preview of the title - and I was pleasantly surprised by what I found.

If you read my write-up about the Fifa 07 Community Day, you’ll already have noticed a couple things that have changed about the game, but that’s not quite enough for the more hardcore football players out there. Want to know what I thought of my time with Fifa 07 in my hands-on time with it? This is the place.

  1. I bought the 07 to be annoyed by the slight things that EA does to every game that makes you wonder WHY the hell they did that.

My first bug is the Player Switching. Sometimes i am chasing down a striker with my defender…and although i brought automatic switching all the way down…it switches me away to the furthest defender, who is not even ready to challenge for the ball.

Ea should also bring back some of the stars signature moves and the ability to raise the ball over a defenders slide tackle or a goalies dive, which you could do back in the day. Remember doing that on Fifa way back on my sega genesis
