GRAW 2 Announced – Assassin's Creed and BIA Delayed
Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2 was announced today, amidst sadly disturbing news that both Assassin’s Creed and Brothers In Arms: Hell’s Highway have both been delayed until at least fall 2007.
Assassin’s Creed was meant to appear on the Xbox360 and Playstation 3 in the beginning of 2007, alongside Brothers In Arms: Hell’s Highway. Now both games have been pushed back at least 6 months, no reason was given for the delay.
While this news is almost hurtful to me, as I’ve been drooling over Assassin’s Creed for quite some time now, I see this as a chance for the developers of GRAW to redeem themselves for the $15 divide they placed the owners of their title. In my opinion, that pack was equivalent to kicking the collective crotches of those who didn’t have the $15, because the only way to know if the host of a game had the map packs was to ask in the lobby over and over…
If it had been more reasonably priced initally – say around $5 to $8 – I know loads of gamers who would’ve bought the pack on day one, including myself. Charging a quarter of the game’s purchase price for content within three months of buying it is a bit much. Hopefully this is corrected the next time around…
