Lost Planet CE: Bonus WHAT?
Word has it that the Collector’s Edition of Lost Planet will come in a collector’s tin – as the majority of recent CE packages have, but the contents will boggle the mind. Supposedly, each CE package will come with a 24-page art manual, the tin, and a Token Card to download a new multiplayer map on XBLM.
Am I the only one that finds this troubling?
That map download, Capcom hasnt responded to inquiries, seems to indicate that a map will be available on the XBL Marketplace when the game ships and that if you dont have the map token from the colletors edition — you might have to pay for the map separately.
Ugh.
My sentiments exactly. If Xbox Live turns into a market where developers take product from complete games that already cost $60 and put them up for sale later, i’ll soon find myself in a dilemma of epic proportions. Do I stick with a service that costs $50 a year, is awesome for the most part, but charges me small fees per game, or do I just not pay the extra fees and enjoy the games anyways?
That all depends on the developers, in my opinion, but if they don’t start realizing that the best advertisement is free content, we might have a problem.
