Confirmed: Put Your Face In Rainbow Six Vegas
If ever there was a reason to get a Live Vision Camera, this is it. Of course, there’s the nudity while playing Uno but this is where it’s at! If you have a copy of Rainbow Six: Vegas and the LVC, here’s proof that you can add your face to your character.
Today Ubisoft, one of the world’s largest video game publishers, announced that the Xbox Live Vision Camera can be used in conjunction with Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft. Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas is the fifth iteration of the multimillion-selling tactical shooter franchise and will be available on store shelves in November.

This, in my opinion at least, is a landmark achievement in console games. Of course we’ve had the ability to do this for a time. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skateboarder had a similar feature on the PS2, except you had to send your images and memory card in and wait for your face – and saves – to return. PC users have had this ability for years. All you needed is a skin and a copy of PhotoShop, and voila – you’re in the game. Now, we have the ability to do this at home from the couch.
Let’s just see how many people can live with watching themselves get sniped, though…
