Why My Xbox 360 needs Superman Returns

Gameplay (cont’d)

Along with this massive stage comes the objectives, and what objectives they are! Good old Supes is being put to the ringer this time because of his most basic “flaw” – he’s pretty much invincible. Taking that into consideration, the developers decided to make Metropolis the character this time around, and it makes perfect sense. Since Superman has no life bar, Metropolis is the one you want to save. Instead of a life bar, the player has a stamina meter. Just like Superman in the movies and comics, when your stamina bar is depleted, you get knocked around a bit, but can recover fairly soon. Oh, and yes – you can fly toward the sun for a quick recharge
.
Speaking of saving people, you can’t do that without the trusty superpowers, right? Thankfully, that’s another thing that Tiburon took into consideration. You start the game with the powers that Kal-El was born with, and the game is much better because of it. You still upgrade your powers, as you kind of have to in this kind of game, but it makes more sense to learn how to use them in more creative ways then having to earn them completely.
