Word has finally come down that the GameStop will start pre-ordering PS3s starting tomorrow!The e-mail from GS states that due to limited supply, the pre-orders are on a first-come, first-serve basis. With only 400,000 systems allotted to the US, I figure that to mean they’ll be sold out within 10 minutes across the country. On top of those shenanigans, the deposit on your shiny new console is a whopping $100.

If you remember back to last November, you know how GameStop got hounded for allowing more pre-orders than they could handle, so they kindly added the following info: “As we cannot control production and shipping issues by the manufacturer, a reservation deposit does not guarantee receipt of a system available to purchase at launch. Reservations/Purchases are limited to 1 per household.” Can’t really blame them!
